Prospect provides Day Services for adults who have intellectual and developmental disabilities. We provide support in improvement within daily living activities, social, communication, self-help, and other adaptive skills. Upon entrance into the program, formal and informal evaluations are completed. This determines the developmental and vocational skill levels, then support programs are designed to address these areas. Prospect’s Day Center focuses on life skills, vocational and therapy goals, and community integration. Each person supported by us is able to participate in any combination of focus areas, depending on his or her personal goals and preferences. Our Center is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
Facility Based Services
Life Skills & Therapy
Life Skills are taught primarily in the work center and include activities such as gardening, decision making, goal setting, support groups, social skills, etc. Skill training is based on the Individual Support Plan and includes money management, safety, health, interpersonal relationships, and other skills necessary to increase personal growth while living happy and healthy in his or her community.
Prospect vehicles travel approximately 30,000 miles per month transporting individuals to and from home to the Day Center.
Community Based Integration Services
Volunteering & Outings
Community Based Services includes activities that take place in the community, such as shopping, community memberships, recreational activities, and volunteering.
These activities help our people to gain acceptance and help to bridge the gap of knowledge for others within the community. Individual to staff ratio is three to one unless otherwise noted.
