To empower, support, and encourage parents as their child's first and most influential teacher, in order that their families may have the optimal opportunity to succeed in life.

To provide parents with the necessary life skills, information, education, and resources through personal visiting, networking and parent group meetings.

Objectives
The objectives of Wilson County Parents as Teachers are to:

Increase parent knowledge of early childhood development and improve parenting practices.
Provide early detection of developmental delays and health issues.
Prevent child abuse and neglect.
Increase children's school readiness and school success.

What is it?
A free, educational program designed to provide information, fun activities, support, and encouragement to parents of children, living in Wilson County, Tennessee, birth to five years old.

Who can enroll?
